Keiko Fukuda Judo Scholarship

The Keiko Fukuda Judo Scholarship Fund was established by Professor Fukuda to encourage female judoka to continue their formal education and/or to further their training in Judo. It is a part of the United States Judo Federation Endowment Trust.

The scholarship may be used for post-secondary education or for judo education. To be eligible one must be a female judoka actively practicing and must be a member in good standing of the USJF for the past four years. In addition she must be at least 16 years of age and have a minimum rank of shodan. Applicants must show evidence of financial need. Awards for kata and shiai competitors are made in alternating years.

The scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria:
