Connie Glembot past away August 27, 08. Connie was a great supporter of judo and attended Joshi Camp for many years.

From Connie's Son

Ms. Shepard, So nice of you to offer to put this on the web site where the people Mom worked with in judo could see. She spoke very highly of all the people & the great time that she had in judo. It was her passion.  The enclosed pictures are of the display that the assisted living place displayed during the Olympics. She seemed to enjoy and we hope that she was happy to share with her fellow residents. There is even one photo of Mom's favorite pose for family pictures, with her sticking out her tongue. The photo with the children was taken about 4 days before her passing, it is with all of her great grandchildren. Mom was the hit of the faculity, when she first got there she would walk down the hall swinging her hips, and pumping up the residents & staff alike. When she first got there she asked me why she was with "all of these old people" even though she probably had a minimum of 20 to 30 years on most of them. You spoke about had she always wanted to help people. Up until the day she died she kept saying that she wanted to go back to Florida to help Jean & Van. She was very concerned about both of them, along with wanting to see all of her friends in judo. Mom was born on May 4th 1915, she passed on august 27, 2008 She was quite a lady, and we will miss her greatly.

Thank You
Ray Glembot
