AS of January 8, 2006 the Kodokan special promotion committee has recognized Professor Keiko Fukuda's many years of practice devoted to the study of Judo. Professor Fukuda's accomplishments in Judo and dedication to the Judo community have been highly recognized throughout the years. The Kodokan is pleased to announce that Professor Fukuda has been promoted to Kodokan Woman's Ninth Dan, the first in Women's Judo history. We are all proud of her and thankful for her dedication to the sport of Judo.
